What this tool does

Merge PDF files to assemble an invoice with supporting attachments, a report with appendices, or a resume packet. This PDF merger copies pages into one output document in file-selection order. Use the separate mixed-format merger when some inputs are images.

How to use it

  1. Choose at least two PDF files. Select them in the order you want them to appear in the output.
  2. Check the file names shown below Choose files. This interface does not provide drag-and-drop file reordering.
  3. Select Process and wait for Download merged.pdf.
  4. Open the downloaded PDF. Check the number of pages, the order at each document boundary and any important page features.

A simple combining example

If you select a two-page invoice first and a one-page receipt second, the combined PDF contains the invoice pages followed by the receipt. To change the resulting sequence, use Rearrange PDF Pages after merging.

Troubleshooting the PDF merger

“Choose at least two files to merge” means another input is required. This page accepts PDFs only. Use Merge PDF & Images for JPG or PNG attachments. Protected, malformed or oversized documents may fail; keep the original files and check the reported error.

Limits and result checks

Each input is limited to 25 MB, total selected input to 100 MB, and merged output to 200 pages. Do not assume document-level signatures, bookmarks, forms or other interactive features survive page copying; check features you rely on.

Common questions

Can I change the order before merging?

Output follows file-selection order. There is no drag-and-drop reorder control on this page. Reselect the files or reorder pages in the downloaded result with Organize PDF Pages.

Can I merge just one PDF?

No. This merger requires at least two input files. Use a page tool if you only need to edit the sequence within one PDF.

How do I add a JPG or PNG to the document?

Use the separate Merge PDF & Images tool, or create a PDF from the images first. Merge PDF Files accepts PDF inputs only.

Will the merged PDF always retain every document feature?

No preservation guarantee is made for interactive or document-level features. Verify the downloaded pages and any features needed for your workflow.
